Yea, Frampton, Skynyrd and Boston were a pretty big deal to me when I was a kid.

Rossington, Collins, Frampton, Scholtz were my early influences.

The thing with Vaughn was that he had a rhythm and lead going on simultaneously.

Incredible player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably some of the best technique I've seen yet.

Hendrix...

Interesting player. IMO not the most musically educated. He just played what felt good to him. Which usually came out sounding real sweet.

Just a natural!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically stayed with the pentatonic. Like I said, I'm not sure he was versed in the other scales, nor do I think he really cared.

He used a non locking tremelo, so 2 songs into it, he was out of tune.

The beauty of him was that it didn't matter. he would just bend the note so he stayed in key.

Truely gifted player.
