Arlen Ness is the grandfather of custom builders. Dick Allen and Sugar Bear built the best front ends, but no one started the custom movement more than Ness

So true Mako, also Denver's Choppers. Also in his own way, because he was not a builder, but the first catalog purveyor of chopper parts; Tom McMullen started AEE choppers and then of course Street Chopper magazine.
