Well, I've decided to check into the scene after some absence. Seems some of the big deals in custom bikes are gone. Exile (remember them), Sucker Punch Sally, Flyrite. Are there any custom bike builders left from the glory days?

I think Flyrite moved out of Tx,

Brass Balls is now Choppers (instead of BB Bobbers) I think.

A few people still around.

Hows everyone doing?

from my last post, added a fairing on my FXR, going to remove the saddle bag supports and put away for now.

Uncle bought a Rigid/Springer and it rides decent, needs work (he burned out the ignition)

Hope everyones good

Wow, Sick choppers. That's a blast from the past. Maybe he's moved on to terrorize the world of hot rods now, who knows.

Glad to see some of you old timers are still lurking around! I never see anything custom on the roads around here anymore.
I tore my chopper down to the frame several years ago, and just never done anything with it. Money, time, life, all the usual excuses I guess. I've been having the itch lately to finally resurrect it though. We'll see. I've got 2 tractors and a RZR that all need attention too, and I've outgrown my shop smh...I do still have and ride my evo night train though

Insurance was good to me so I kept it...its hard to get rid of it...had to change the look with the budget I had...

Just wait and see for yourselves. Choppers have always been there and will always be part of our lives. Fad or no f#%* fad.

The "fad" is over for sure in general but not for me and the guys that were into it before the fad.

I just re-did the tail section/rear fender setup on my prostreet DNA build and detailed the whole bike. New exhaust setup too. Still runs and looks great.

I thought he wanted to open back in the day but in the end he did not - did he?

I just recently saw some of the new episodes of American Chopper. Was kind of fun to see them back on TV. But after some time, you know it is still the same as it was.
Some familiy drama, lots of talk about feelings and stuff like that, far too little about bikes/choppers.
Everytime they start building a new bike I am really into it and think that could be really someting cool. But as more they are working and doing "design" on it, it gets more and more fucked up and looking like a peace of ridiculous shit in the end. I know they are probalbly also building some other bikes and I know a theme-bike is a theme-bike, but in the end, they all look so stupid. I would be ashamed to ride one of them.

I am not really into OCC/American Chopper, I don't know all of their builds, but as far as I have seen, there was only a few bikes looking good (my opinion).

There was the Phantasy Bike 1 which was pretty cool, the Rick Petko Chopper was cool too and yes the coolest one to me was the My Pillow Bike. That one is really badass.
