I remember lusting after those CB-750 kit choppers back in the early 70's. I missed the Big Dog, OCC, etc bikes that the "fad" buyers might have gotten into. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate those bikes. If you've got the coin... They sure did depreciate! I finally gained entry with a '72 Ironhead. She's a bitch to ride...but I'll get things figured out. 42 year worth of "the disease" will do that to you.

you know I still look at stretched/raked choppers and wish I had tried one out but glad I got my FXr. lol
I send people to my buddies shop telling them, he modified the frame (made the triangle larger) and split the trans from the motor to make it a "Big Sporty"
He gets a laugh out of it.
you would be surprised how many people go by for the "mod"

Hell yeah, that's super cool! They don't call them "CFL's" for nothing right??? Have you posted pics of your bike?

I still have & ride my '04 TX Chopper. Sorta like owning a classic now since I've had it for 12 years. I haven't caved in to the Street Glide faze like everyone else. lol

Went through this bike 100% starting with the crank. This is pretty much a new bike. My first street bike was a 1976 Sportster and I have one again.

I would add that the build quality on this one is several orders of magnitude higher than the first one you had...lookin' good RW!
