Question Off Topic Jaguar Question

Joined a Jag forum, no replies figured you all might have some clue to my current problem..

I am having trouble with my moms car, Was driving and the hose came off. Changed clamps because the old clamps were crap put new fluid and came off again.

This part was the original part I figured I needed to replace then checked and was told should just be the hose. (Great News right)

Put everything on to at least use it and uncle came by and pulled hose off and coolant all over my floor o.0

SO...This part
Coolant Out pipe (80 bucks local, 50 off partsgeek.com)

Has crud in it, nothing seems wrong really other then not holding onto hose and had some crap in it, I figure it just needs to be cleaned, uncle says replace and no one on the jag forum has said anything.

I read another thread and it said thats happened with the temp housing and to replace the pump. BUT it didnt come off where the temp housing is.

So dont know if I should replace all 4 parts, Just the hose, or the hose and coolant out pipe.

Hope this makes sense

I hate this car.
J.R.

what color is the antifreeze? if it's orange, flush the whole system and replace with the regular green shit. That orange shit is awful on cooling systems. I would start with the hose a coolant and go from there. That's just what I would do, I don't know shit about jags

I have a 99 Tahoe that I just had to do a bunch of work to. started out with a heater hose that just snapped off at the manifold. the remainder of the crimped connector was brittle as hell and I was told that the orange anti freeze causes corrosion issues. My radiator and cap, both corroded and slimy like sludge in the radiator. Heater core, all but stopped up with crap too. Ended up replacing the manifold because I couldn't get the broken heater hose fitting out and it was less work to just replace it. replaced the radiator, cap, heater core and all hoses and refilled the system with the old green anti freeze. Friends of mine who work on cars swear all my issues were the orange stuff (and my lack of changing/flushing it regularly). I wont ever use it again. I've read that the orange stuff is better now, but at one point GM was having law suits and recalls due to cooling system issues and the orange dex antifreeze. I learned my le$$on the hard way, I'll never use it again.

damn will change to whatevers green for it. Part came in SWEAR when I saw it thought it was metal part came in Plastic went and checked sure enough plastic o.0

Waiting on hose before I do the swap. Fuel pump came in for my truck.

Went to home depot picked up 8 4mx7mx16mm allen head bolts to replace on my carb and read that you need 7 to replace on a CV carb top and bottom, On the top they look TINY (length wise) so I probably read that wrong. Will change the bottom ones for sure,

Going to fix my truck thinking of selling it for 4g's (Have 3 family members wanting to buy it at that price) and thinking of putting money down on an FXR in north Tx. Still unsure.
