primary and transmission pricing.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any insight on why open primaries cost as much as transmissions? From an engineering/material/manufacturing/assembly point I don't see it....

I spent $5K on my Barnett Scorpion drive assembly with offset kit and hydraulic clutch activator from Rivera engineering. Very expensive and worth every penny.

This is exactly what I don't understand..... $5k for a couple pulleys, belt, clutch, and chunk or two of metal with holes in it.
