Southwest is AZ, NM, and NV...I lived in AZ for most of my life.

Texas is normally its own region from a business perspective.

Regions:
Pacific Region- CA, OR, WA
Southwest Region- AZ, NM, NV
Texas Region- Texas
MOKA Region- MO, OK, KS, AR
West Region- all others west of the Mississippisi
East Regions- broken into north and south basically by the MD line

That is generally the breakdown for larger Telecom Providers and the vendors that serve them...

Sounds like fancy coffee...

But its Missouri,Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas

I worked in that region for 2 years and nobody there ever heard that either! LOL

But then I was from Denver at the time...probably some cool acronym thought up by overpaid schmoes in Headquarters...

Later,
Milenko

They taught us in school here, that we are called the mid-west because states were added from the east coast to the west over time. As the nation grew, references to the west got farther and farther from the east coast. "Mid-west" is a carry over from the early 19th century. During the 18th century, Ohio was actually considered to be the west. Doesn't seem right now, but I guess it made sense then.

I agree with you, it's time to update 'cause they ain't nothin' west about this cold place.
