Build #2

I finished my first ground up build last fall and have had it out only a couple time so far this year. I built the frame, motor mounts, handlebars, and as much of the mounting brackets here and there that I could. I put the bike completely together to make sure that it all fit and worked smoothly. The bad part of this, is it made me not want to tear it all apart to powder coat everything. I decided instead of just breaking it all down and coating it and put it back together, I would build another bike to do the same thing with. I have done a bit of work so far, so it will probably seem like a lot at once, but once I get to where I am now, the progress will definetly slow to a crawl. Hope you like it. The first bike is the one that I build last year, and then the start of the new.

Got the bottom rails in and spaced apart, and now have the downtube tacked in place.

grabbed this piece of stainless from a job site where we had some extras. welded it to the bottom of the stainless seat pan that I have to make the air seat sit better. In the next pic, you will see the part that I like best about the bike.

My license and model a tailight bracket. You probably saw in my earlier pictures the model a sedan that has been my winter project. I thought it would be kinda cool since I used 59 caddy tailights on that to put a model a tailight on this.

Here is my oil tank. Due to the drop seat, and putting all of my electrical components underneath the transmission, I thought this would be the best looking place for the oil tank. What do ya think.

Well folks, this has gotten us to where I am today. My last build took about 7 months to finish, and from start to finish, so far I am just over 1 month. Hoping to have it done by June. but we'll see. Let me know what you like, and what you don't like. Not that I am going to change anything, because I like it all so far, just curious. I will be keeping more coming as the progress unfolds.
