Frame MFG is out of business
I am buying a Chopper Guys (a company that is out of business) softail basket case that has never been on the road and I was wondering if I will have any problem w/ the DMV when I go to register the bike?

if you get a manufacturers statement of Origin you will be able to get it title no problem.. im building one now and going thru same stuff.

been tryin to get a duplicate MSO from chopper guys for 2 months now. bought their bagger frame, still new and unused, and tons of other parts at an estate sale. we been in business over 30 yrs and ya get ta know when someone is blowin smoke up ur ass on the phone. so far after 6 calls 2 e-mails and 2 faxes, nothin,, just sayin.

Most frame builders will only re-issue the original MSO to the original buyer be that a shop or retail customer. It they sold it to a shop that shop would be the only place they will re-issue an MSO to. They should be able to tell you who they sold the frame to originally.
