I'm looking forward to it. I have decided that the ignition cover I showed in the original post no longer appeals to me. I see a lot of engraved covers in magazines, and honestly-a buck's worth of aluminum, powdercoated, and then engraved with someone else's design? There are some 3D covers out there as well, but again, can be had by anyone for the right price. I'm going to stick with the same design, but have the skull, dagger, and arrows in relief, rather than simply engraved. I can also add much more detail to it.
I'm still trying to think of what you're up to. A 105mm casing from an AC-130 incorporated into the cover maybe? Speaking of which, I'd like to use one of those as the can on my 2 into 1 exhaust.

Damn, that IS nice! Far better even that what I was expecting to see.
It's very reminiscent of my living room furniture, all of which comes from Afghanistan. (I had half an aircraft pallet dedicated to just my shit alone) I'll have to post some pics, as I want to eventually do some similar work on my rocker boxes once I learn to engrave metal. I have a feeling it's going to be alittle harder than learnign to tool the leather.
Again, very nice. When do we see the rest?

There is no rest. It's just a piece that I had here that suited a 4 times motif.

I've just been working on small projects lately. Once I get the bike back into roller form everything ought to go pretty quickly, seeing as a lot of the small things will already be done.
Yesterday's project: Foot controls, brake and foot clutch, from M4 Flash Surpressors.
Today's project, the foot pegs themselves, from M84 Flash Bang Grenades. I'll probably narrow down the protruding aluminum portion somewhat. They'll be drilled and tapped tomorrow so they'll screw right on. The bodies will be powdercoated OD Green when the time comes.

Super cool build thread. Lot's of creativity and some of the parts you making would probably be great sellers if you ever wanted to make extras.....especially given that they are authentic parts from tools of destruction not just cast to look like it.

I appreciate all the comments so far. The last two weeks have been busy with builds Three Two are finishing up, so I've still been working on smaller projects for the time being.
I've close to having my handlebars finished. They're pretty much shop built clamp-ons, nothing too fancy, but cool IMHO. The hand grips are additional M84 Flash Bang Grenades.
I mentioned the custom frame from Dirty South choppers. While I'm very happy with the overall appearnace, a few things still needed to be changed. The first was the gusset, which leaves a very odd empty space in front of the tanks. Plus it didn't look like it was doing much to strengthen the neck area.
In the spirit of overengineering, here's the add on piece I made that JC will weld in:
I was going to curve the back portion, but it won't be seen due to the tank, so I decided to leave it as is.

Work progresses at a slow pace. I did some work in the garage while the weather is still fairly cool. I removed the talons and shark fins (total of six per wheel) and like the look so much I toyed with the idea of going with no front brake.
The wheels were originally set up to rotate counter-clockwise as you see them, but now they'll run clockwise.

I haven't posted anything in a while, partially because until a few days ago it still wasn't looking like a bike, as it had no front end on it. Finally now it does:
I also wanted to keep some things under wraps, but then I thought the odds of someone else having the same ideas, or even the capability of executing them were pretty slim, given the source of the parts. The air cleaner is made from the rear piece of a Soviet 107mm Katyusha rocket, one of 12 fired at us in one day alone. The six venturies actually spiral inward, making it like a velocity stack, as well as letting air in through the filter, which had to be split and sectioned.
Then there's the fuel petcock. It's a fuel valve from the inside of a BRDM-2 Soviet armored recon vehicle in Afghanistan. It was so ugly I absolutely had to use it. I had no idea it would actually become a focal point of the bike, but it has.
It's a three position valve, rear is the left tank, middle is "off" and forward is the right tank, which is the reserve. It even has Cyrillic writing on the curved plate that says opened and closed.
