New Build almost done!

Well I'm almost done with my first build. The Frame is softail 38 degree rake with 6 up and 6 out. Motor is twincam 88 bored to 95, 6 speed tranny, open belt drive. The engine wasn't very easy to install in this frame, but the price is right on these used twin cams. I have done All the work my self including paint, it took about 7 months from start to finish. Getting ready to build the wiring harness and gewt this thing running! Here are some pics

Paint is burnt copper pearl. This is my first paint job, so I decided to keep it simple. The paint was definatly the toughest part of the build, lots of hour and didn't save much, but now have everything and would do it againNew Build almost done!-20101024190618.jpg

That thing is beautiful man, congrats. That drive belt assembly looks wicked, must have been a headache trying to get everything aligned just right huh?

yes it was tough getiing everything line up. I must have took the motor out and put it back in a few times. I had the rear mount adaptor taken down 3/32 to get the rear of the engine down lower to make the tranny sit flat. Once I got it right everything slides together easily with the right spacers and all, no stress on bolts, fits nicely.

Paint is from Kustom shop. $42 a quart. easy to spray- we'll have to see how long it lasts. But this was my first time sprayin paint and I didn't want to make a large investment. GLAD everyone likes it, THANKS

Done! Rides nice and smooth, have a couple hundred miles on it. Very much worth all the hard work, nothing like riding something you built.
