hi. i am building a chopper with a suzuki tl 1000 engine. it has fuel injection and water coolant.and it has about 135hk. front end is from a yamaha yzf R1 and so are the rims. rear rim is wided to 12" and it has a 330 avon tire. it has even a air suspension rear and i can raise it up 80mm. the radiator is from a ktm 950 and a its located under the seat. the tank is made of aluminum. i have done all the work on my bike myself.

I think that you have done an amazing job, on what many people would find a very complicated build.

congrats, and you are welcome to come wrench in my garage anytime... I'll even pay your food....(laughing)

that's bad to the bone man.....nice work....

I was just wondering .....are you going to be using some rubber or something to isolate the tank mounts from the frame,.......or is vibration not as much of an issue with a suzuki motor????

hello. now i have made a air intake to the airbox. it has been lots of work on the bike . nothing fits. have to do everything. but it holds the cost down. the hole project this far has cost me 10,000$. :3dSMILE:

Skynut 09-04-2007 01:19 PM

AWESOME is the only think I can think of to describe your build. I love the indy car looking brake cooling intakes on the side and I've never liked a nose cone until now. It fits the bike perfectly. Totally origonal, looking bad ass man!

Barefoot Choppa 03-31-2008 11:56 AM

I love the paint, nice job man!!!

Awesome.Den här blir ju riktig bra, eller rättare sagt skitbra.

JOEYPROSTREET 04-14-2008 01:08 PM

Looks like it's going to be a great build...good luck. What size tire are you running? I never seen a tire that looks like a 300mm with a left side drive.

Mr Scary 04-14-2008 01:12 PM

Nice job man.

Good luck!!

(watch out for those guys from East Prov. LOL LOL)

So four years ago some crazy nut went through a red light and ruined my pristine TL1000S, and my body. I think my legs are pretty much screwed for life (I can still walk though thank god), but meanwhile I have a nice 1997 TL1000 engine sitting in my garage, and I started thinking about what I want to do with it. I don't really need to fix it back up into the sportbike it was because I have replaced it with an SV1000S, so I got to thinking that a chopper or bobber or something might be pretty cool with the TL1000 engine. So I started looking for projects with TL1000 engines. Didn't expect to find one. Yours looks positively fantastic! I would like to do something similar, or maybe something along the lines of what Exile cycles look like, but I'm not a machinist and the whole idea is very intimidating. Kudos to you for an incredible job.

MAKO6 04-01-2010 10:01 AM

Mad skills Bro, looks like you've forgotten more about custom building than most will ever know.

EXCELLENT...!

Trikeopath 04-01-2010 10:48 AM

It was a picture of this bike that inspired me to build my first Chop.
I used a Honda VTR1000 and I'm glad I did it now.
Infact it was this TL that led me to the CC forum.

4444Design 07-30-2010 01:36 PM
