Chicago Chopper Works
Has anybody had dealings with Chicago Chopper Works or used any of their S/S frames? I"m getting started on my ridged S/S frame project and seem to have a few dimensional quirks.

Mine isn't S/S, but I just bought a CCW rigid frame second hand. The only dimensional issue I've discovered (so far) is the distance between the left and right sides of the rear section is about 3/16" less than the length of the axle and spacers. I had to "persuade" the axle out with a mallet and... "booiiinnnggg!" I assume it's only a matter of machining the spacers down a bit, but maybe I'm wrong. It must have taken some serious effort for them to get the rear axle in there in the first place. I'm only hoping that this isn't a symptom of a much bigger issue than I even know.
I'm interested to hear if anyone else has had any trouble with CCW's frames. I searched for posts before I bought my frame and didn't find any negative info.

Thanks, My issue is that of the tranny mounts, they seem to be way to far to the left. So much so that a zero offset mounting plate still has the tranny way to far out? I want to keep everything inboard as much as possible.

I used to have the SS frame from them (CCW). It was a nice frame but I never got far enough into the project to see if everything was going to line up.

Their frames look identical to the choppers unlimited frames. I don't know If they are manufatured by same for sure, but CU did have some problems with their frames.
