subscribed. I just bought a 74 xlh for 1000. Did the tires which were dry rotted, carb rebuild since it was not started and filled with something for about 7 years and now on the front end. Did the timken bearing conversion and started on the forks and have had nothing but problems. Seals wouldnt come out and on and on. Still in the front. Good luck that $750 will multiply quickly.

There is nothing like tearing it up on a sporty. Have a 72 xlch hard tail stroker. That beast runs like a raped ape.
