Buell Blast
Ok, I am finally on a full size bike after a year in a half, I have a "Concern" and questions and figured I would make my own thread. I havent told many people of customizing it or even told many that I bought it. so still kinda eh about the whole thing
2006 Buell Blast. Specs (Per Bikez.com)
30 ci (491.64cc)
33 HP
30.2 Ft Torq @ 3200 RPM
Dry Weight 359.4
Front Tire: 100/80 16
Rear Tire: 120/80 16
Power To Weight: 0.2085 HP
Fuell Capacity: 2.8
Now my plan is to swap the frame out (Drop Seat), rear fender only and gas tank. Going to talk to my buddy who built a bike that I am useing as a "template" (Will upload the pic in a secound)

Built by The Motorcycle Shop ( www.Themotorcycleshoptx.com)
I did some drawings to see what I want to do and considering a few things mostly wanted opinions. Eventually plan to do this might leave it stock for now just mostly getting some informationg and seeing if I should go through with it. might not happen now but plan to get it done.
Will post pictures of the rough sketches.
This is what I am thinking of useing from the blast.
Rims & Tires (Front and back)
Forks
Brakes
What I will buy slowly
Oil Tank (Considering round tank to mount where the rear jug would be on a regular Vtwin.)
Rear Fender (Plan on not going big on the rear tire so the tires are cheap to replace)
Options (Considering)
King Tank "Rolled edge"
tanks has a 19.75" tunnel length, 2 1/8" backbone width, is 10.75" wide and 9" high with a capacity of 3.4 gallons
Would like a King Tank mostly for the 3.3 gallon minimum ( HATE having a small tank)
Also side mounted plate with light (Can probably make this myself. will be bugging cole about his)

Fixed a wreck a couple years back. Not a bad running bike for the "small" engine. Not sure about the "full size" thing...P3's are kinda puny looking. Tires are small-ish. The OEM frame is the oil tank. Putting a oil tank in the "rear cylinder" area might look a bit strange. No reason to not put an oil tank further back. Might check out an RE mutant for ideas. Don't really like the lines of their frame that much, but it is a start.
The original bike runs around 70mpg...so a small tank isn't really all that bad.

Yup went around checking out the frames already I want to try and hide everything even considered a spoiler infront to hide the battery. Its not bad with the small tank just prefer a larger tank. (Paranoid about that) I dont really like the lines of the backbone so I am talking to a buddy
Thanks though
I am considering lightening it up and giving it a strange look.
Just dont want a basic Rigid frame.

^-Obviously tank design, Sight Gauge, Petcock moved back and gas cap raised (Think it looks weird so why not)

The frame ontop is what I figured "Original Sin" was when I was looking at the picture, and The bottom is what I am looking to have built. Just plan to run the tank (obviously) and a rear fender no front fender. Sissy bar and pillion pad in mind, wont be speeding on it, but do still plan to take my girlfriend places on it. Eventually maybe sidecar and it will be her bike to ride to school and what not.

yup, cindy agreed already (half the battle) feels weird as hell being that high on a bike I feel like I am in my pickup just real tall on it.

Honestly man havent had time to go, been wanting to go. My told me I met the guy but not sure The guy who owns the bikes is a doctor or something from Harlingen he has cash and several more bikes. I thought it was cool, I know he has a CFL, a Captain America Clone, and some old bikes also.

Thats by GSMotors.com They make a starnge little bike, have you seen their "Can" oil tank. very weird on the frame. its nice though.
I found a Villain Gas Tank on the local Craigslist, its kinda intresting, I dont know if you can check it out for me (just check the site on motorcycle) and tell me if it looks funny to you, Looks like someone went in and beat the sh*t out of it. 150 isnt bad just dont want a bumpy tank.
