This is one I had seen a good while back on ebay for sale that I fell in love with (JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!)

I think you all will like it, this is what brought my attention to building a drop seat.

Your project will be cool. I hope you post pics. You know, I was also thinking that with no rear cylinder you could mount the oil tank vertically behind it, cantered to match the angle of the seat post. That would leave ample room under the seat for a battery, coil, key switch and other elecs.

I got one for you, Spade. Drop seat and everything.

Here's a Buell Blast powered chop I saw last summer at the Gillette Stadium cruise night.

Not really feelin the huge front wheel but most of these builds are light years beyond my skills so props either way.

Hey Frank thats the same bike I have a pic of. They used the stock back bone to keep from needing an oil bag. Pretty cool little scoot, AND 60 mpg....

I dont know the guy, I have just spent hours of research on doing the same thing to my Blast last year. But if you look at that pic you will see that the back bone is square tubing, so its likely to be the stock frame with a nice wide hardtail kit added to it and a doner frame for the lower part. The guy that goes by "EZ" at Badweatherbikers.com would be the one to ask. Anyway, the stock frame looks like this:

The tail section can be cut off and the legs the pegs mount to just bolt on.

And if you look at this web site http://www.hootis.com/farmuell/ you can see a similar way of modifying the Blast frame but they just did a primative hard tail with the stock swing arm. Not nearly as pretty but the final product wasnt supposed to be as refined as the one above.

Either way there will be some custom engine mounts required. The rear mount is pretty similar to a Sportster but the front mount is on the front of the head. Crossroads performans sells a very nice mount for this. This is the way Redneck engineering does it:

I had one idea of simply removing the tail section, adding a solo seat and a sporty tank to get this look:

But probably the best way to do it is with a small xl hardtail frame like from Paugcho or something. Then you get the rake and ride height you want. The one below was build by "Back Roads" or something, I cant remember.

Since the blast is so small it kind of looks funny in some of the longer frames.

Just promise me you wont ever do this:
