Project Blast!

Here's an interesting project I decided on. Take a Buell Blast, aftermarket HD frame, a few hours, and what do you think can happen? This. There are more parts to come and I'll update as I go. I'm thinking there aren't going to be many of these built like this!

I am headed for doing a flat-tracker Blast.
Front forks are stout - looks OK after being stripped.
500cc thumper is perfect.

i had a blast i wanted to do this to and i loved that little fucking bike.

I actually made a friend on here "Monkey Wrench" who had been building a turbo blast, cured back bone, not sure what ever happened to that bike.

I ended up selling mine for an FXR.

I made a thread that outlined some of the random crap I had thought of.

God i dont understand how this awesome group could stand me for so long lol

Ok so the rake is 30* Stock HD, and there is no stretch in the front downtubes, The frame was made by Maximum Metalworks in Ontario Canada.

The Black one is close to how mine will look as I go, I recently picked up a springer front end and need to do something to the Sporty tank I have as it sits a bit too low.

You can frisco the tank, raise it up high on the backbone.

Probably just weld up the tunnel a bit so I can get the head to fit under the tank without modding the frame. God I hate going with the crowd!

if you notice on the black bike it has the backbone slightly cup, I would raise it up 2 and maybe out 2. depending on frame. What frame are you using at the moment?

Look at a Cole Foster tank, you might like that more

might sit like this on that frame

I picked up a Maximum Metalworks rigid frame from Ontario Canada for it (had the frame before the Blast). I will probably have to modify the tank I have as my funds are at their limit for now. I am retired and just can't seem to find spare funds. Thank goodness I don't have to pay rent or utilities as my wife and I look after a motel here in the great white north (WEATHER SUCKS!!!!).

Love the tank.Have it on my chopper I wish it was aluminum though.

It goes very well on either choppers or bobbers. Has a variety of mount options. and priced reasonably- i believe in $250-270 range. I actually prefer the slam down look to the pimple like frisco style.
