red ***** weapon 250r advice needed

i have acquired a ******** weapon 250r, and need some help guys. 1st off I know I know stay away, get rid of it, well Im past that point now and need some pointers in the right direction.

I have built up and repaired many rice rockets and an old 77 ironhead...hated that damn engine. But this whole project is a new beast to me. Ive been reading for weeks and weeks on what I have what I need, what I want and what I don't want. So many things I want haha but expensive!!!

1st off the bike has a sportster engine in it..not in love with it but its something. I have been trying to figure out what sportster motor and pieces are on it or in the bucket of parts. First question how can I tell if the 883 has a 1200 kit on it like I was told it did? I was told it was the 1200 kit or the buell top end?? Help!!!

2nd I know I can wire up the bike fine..but before figuring out if its an 883 or 1200 I noticed it has a Crank position sensor...Definitely hate knowing I have to keep the computer now to run a few sensors. Unless there is other options I have missed??

3rd When selecting forward controls Im slightly puzzled on whether to order and browse in the sportster section or the big twin/softail sections...opinions please??

4th and last thing for now the bike has a springer front end...im kind of leaning at a DNA springer but I have never ridden a springer before...I have an inside scoop on a wide glide front end for cheap, opinions on both setups from guys who have rode both types?

post pics of the parts some of the guys can tell you if the heads are buell just by looking at them (jugs are different)

Ive ridden a Wide Glide (my fxr has one) Looks good, running a wider front tire. Never ridden a springer so cant compare.

The difference I know between them is springer has less rebound then regular forks (From what I have been told)

Sporty motors are good, IF it has the Buell parts its bumped up to 1200, If its had a NHRS kit might be bumped up 1250, If the bike is complete (in the sense that motor isnt in more then one box) You might be able to tell with some of the upgrades to the electrical and stuff that was bought for it.

so if you can post pics, Would be a greater help.
