My 70 Triumph Tiger

Picked up a 1970 Triumph Tiger that was given to me by my uncle.

The bike was bought new in 1970, the guy that had it lost his leg on it..
Was hit by a car, dad said that the dent in the oil tank is where his leg was removed..
My dad ended up picking it up for $350 in 1971 and gave it to my uncle.
I remember my uncle riding it in the late 70s but the last time it was on the road was 86.

So its been my uncles from 1971 to 2011.. and now its mine.

After sitting so long, I drained the tank, rebuilt the carb, changed oil, regapped points, and it fired right up and ran.

And I know some will hate me for it, but I started transforming the bike...
I did ask my uncle first, and he said do what I want with it..
Nothing is being done that can't be easily changed back to stock...

It is now my daily ride to work

Anyway, onto the pics..

Very cool my friend, this is a fun looking scoot. I love these old triumphs bobbed out and ridden daily. Nice job.
