You didn't list the plugs? If you haven't checked its always good to pull the plugs, ground to head, kick and see if theres strong blue spark, if theres spark start checking fuel system. If no spark try a plug you know is good or use a carefully postioned screwdriver. Seems these new plugs foul real easy. Especialy the Bouchs. No spark with good plugs go to the coils 1 small wire post is hot, check with test light. '68 was transition year from positive ground systems and later yr changing to normal negitive grd. check battery for how yours was wired. If its custom wiring system I'd try getting juice to plugs and then trouble shoot the light cicuit.

Problem solved

OK problem solved! Defective low beam headlight switch. This is the second one in 5 yrs. It's a typical e-bay low, high, horn, switch, dose anybody know of a better switch?

O- OK, when you wrote 25 kicks even at 40deg, you've got problems beyond no light. When was the last time for a basic tune-up? Try split tip platuim plugs they help starting on low compression engine noteacably. The splitfires work good on the Tri.

My low beam is connected to ign. system, when I switched to high beam, the light turned on, it started on the second kick in the garage and the temp was 17degrees outside, maybe 34 in the garage i'm sure it's a faulty switch. thanks for responding I belive the problem is solved
