If You Want to Go to Nepal

Posted 07-30-2021 at 11:42 PM by ZoeCC
Whenever we talk about a town or city in detail, altitude is an important factor. The elevation is a geographical term that is highly related to an area related to sea level and can be important and influential in various ways, such as having an impact on the climate. The Kathmandu Nepal altitude is particularly interesting because Nepal is one of the highest countries on earth.
According to statistics, Nepal is second only to Bhutan in terms of altitude. Nepal's average altitude is 10,712 feet (3,265 meters), while Bhutan's average altitude is slightly higher than 10,761 feet (3,280 meters). The altitude of Kathmandu is 4,600 feet (1,400 meters), which is far below the national average, but it is still very high compared to most cities in the world. Many major towns are built in low-lying coastal areas with an altitude of 500 feet (152 meters) or less, so Kathmandu has an altitude higher than many other places and is one of the highest capital cities on the planet.
Nepal is home to the famous Himalayas, which is located near Kathmandu and is also the highest mountain in the world. There are 14 mountain ranges on the earth with an altitude of 26,247 feet (8,000 meters) or higher, and Nepal has eight mountain ranges, including the world-famous Mount Everest, with an altitude of 29,029 feet (8,848 meters), which is the highest mountain on earth. Nepal is also home to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th highest elevation points on the earth and all these huge mountains help to bring the higher average elevation to the country.
