Recalls: Harley-Davidson, BMW, Yamaha

Harley-Davidson, BMW and Yamaha are recalling certain motorcycle models, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

BMW is recalling about 1,900 MY 2005-‘09 R 1200 RT Police motorcycles. The bracket that supports the audible signaling device can break, potentially allowing the signaling device to fall from the vehicle and into the roadway, becoming a hazard, reported the NHTSA....

Aerosmith's Joe Perry injured in motorcycle accident

MIDDLEBOROUGH, MA – July 16, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) - Authorities say Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was rear-ended by a car when he was riding a motorcycle, and he has been treated for minor injuries at a Massachusetts hospital.

Middleborough police say Perry was on his 2009 Ducati Monster 696 early Thursday afternoon when he was struck from behind by a car driven by 62-year-old Linda O’Brien. Both vehicles were traveling at a low speed.
