The CFL sticker on the tank will be replaced with theese that I cut out of 1/16" aluminum........with a damn jigsaw.......took for ever! I made 1/4" standoffs and tapped "em with 6-32 threads and welded stainless buttonheads from the inside.

Thanks Fellas......yep open belt. The problem I'm havin right now is the weld in tranny plate. I need a .5" offset sprocket for a four speed tranny but you know where this is headed. Yep they don't make one.....so I'm havin to. I took an offset 5 speed sprocket and opened it up....took a 4 speed and turned it down. Pressed em together and indicated it in and Tig welded it up. Only prob is my weld cracked in a couple places. Just hairlines but still. So i'm gonna heat it up in an oven and reweld it and cool it off in a bucket of sand s l o w l y.. hopefully.

Yeah the jigsaw was a bit rough...had to flip it over and clamp it in a vise, then turn the blade around backwads, and rest my piece on the plate and feed it into the blade. Like a mini bandsaw, you could say.
No this frame is not a CFL, I've got one though. Just sold it to one of my friends here at home. The tank I started a year ago to go on that frame but deceided to go with an old style drivetrain (always loved a shovel). Somethins gotta be said for ridin a chop with the same era motor as your dad did when he was young ya know. So my buddy said he'd take the CFL frame off my hands and I just couldn't let the tank go. Too much work and it was my first tank and shit. So I figured "Choppers For Life"......HELL thats cool on any bike so the tank and emblems are goin on this one!
So I called Bill Dodge and got a special wishbone downtube, dropseat frame. With 4 up & 2 out and a 4 speed tranny mount with the adj plate welded in.

Just a shot of the tank on my CFL frame. I wanted a kick only bike and the CFL frame I had was a 250. As you know without a shitload of work this would be hell to do. So instead of cutting and welding tranny plates in and out I got one already done like I wanted, by a guy that is cool and used to, kinda be, associated with WCC. LOL.
