And bad for anyone who recently buys a bike from them. You'll be out of luck as far as any warranty, not to mention the shit resale value if they go under.

Beware of the new name "California big bear cycles" or just know it's the same company under a new name.

Sure came across as negative, as to closure not until both Kevin and Mona and the whole crew of BBC grows some balls and comes forth and admits publicly what we all know to be the truth about the frame welds and publicly apologizes to me for trying to make it my fault and to all the owners of the 1152 POS motorcycles that are in the recall and makes it all right with each and every owner!
As to " He could have been 6' under,"count your blessings". Sometimes I wonder if being 6' under might be better than living with PTSD everyday for the rest of my life as a result of the accident. Let’s see, waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat sheets dripping and heart racing to the point you think it's going to explode or taking medications that stop the panic attacks but leave you nearly a zombie. Hummmmm, which would you choose?

It was not meant to be a negative comment, or opinion. I meant now maybe there could be some kind of closure.
He could have been 6' under,"count your blessings".
So who is judging who, for no one knows how far anyone has walked in there shoes.

Just out of curiosity, if a company that has an outstanding recall notice with the NHTSA goes under, and the owners start up a new company with a different name, can they walk away from the liabilities of the old company?

I highly dought they will start up under a new name, as long as they owe the creditors and customers money all their assets will be taken from them to help repay who ever they owe.

You need to do some research - business bankruptcy happens like this all the time. This isn't limited to custom bike builders..... could they be filing for re-organization?
shame - after 70 plus posts, nothing concrete as to what is REALLY happening.
Say, didn't you have a lawyer? What does he say????? Really need fact, not speculation - no matter what anybody's feelings are.

That is what my lawyer said...Even if they file for backruptcy they still will not be off the hook with the attourney generals office, what they did to me is considered a felony in the state of ohio and Im hopping they would rather settle with me then go to federal court since the money crossed state lines. Im not a lawyer so I dont know the details of whats going on, but I hope to hear something this week from the attourney generals office.

If true, I don't think California Customs would be too happy about that name...

Why?
Name? Why? California Customs and California Custom Cycles - not even an issue.
Jesus - seen it here before - with Midwest Customs(?) in IL.- screwed customers and creditors out of at least 6 figures. Took deposits for bikes witihin days of filing bankruptcy. And that scumbag in FLA., that just kept re-opening under different names - ask those folks. They all contacted their state's attorneys office, blah, blah, blah...... ask them how well it worked out, how many years it took, and if they ever recovered 100%. Good luck - hope it works out for you.

They have a few machine shops scattered all over So Cal. A a few months ago they opened a good size show room\repair shop in Perris Ca. (about 50 miles or so from BB) I think everybody around thought that was kind of strange, we all thought they were hanging by a thread.
I hope you get your money back.

Kevin gave me an unexpected call today, he and my attorney made a deal to ship me a rolling chassis with an mso tomorrow afternoon. If it shows up I will be satisfied and drop the case. I will keep you guys posted if he makes good on our deal.
