Need New Battery for 05 Venom Chopper
My Venom came with a SVR14 sealed battery.
The bike has sat for long periods of time without much use.... I probubly should have had it on the battery tender. Its dead now.... wont even take a charge.
I know this is a sealed battery, but not sure if it is a dry cell or not. Need to get a replacement....would like a drycell or gel cell I'm assuming. What do you reccommend. Whats the safest from a sealed standmpoint... 100% leak proof. Don't know much about batteries... would think the dry cell would be the way to go??
I appreciate you help.
Thanks Ralph

Ralph, I think that SVR14 is an AGM type battery.
AGM=absorption glass mat.

I had to replace mine also (2008 DA Chopper) kit bike. Battery was fine; but kept vibrating the wires loose with those captured nuts.... I put red locktite on them... Held them tite but then spun the captured nut and twisted the post on the ground when installing battery tender for winter.
My replacement is a harley battery... Same exact dimensions and CCA but now has drilled / tapped front mount posts instead of those top mounted captured nuts... Works much better....
