Hey Nick,

Nope, it's a Daytec frame. Very well manufactured and one of the best on the market. The welds and tube prep were superior and I have no fear of any problems related to the frame construction.

Hey Dash,

Well since they are not up on the mountain any longer it's a shorter trip now and I wouldn't flip a booger at Kevin's face. More likely a BIG scoop of dog shit!

Got nearly all the parts moved from the POS Big Breaky Choppers frame over to the Daytec frame. Haven't had as much time to work on it as I'd like but at least it's getting there little by little. All the component parts, with the exception of the gas tank, are NOT from BBC and thus manufactured with quality and integrity....

Five years ago today!

Today marks the 5th anniversary of my brush with death! Five years ago today on August 31st 2007, also the Friday of the Labor Day weekend, at 4:30 PM PDT the frame welds snapped on the neck stem of my 2004 Big Bear Choppers Devil’s Advocate and the entire front end came off while I was riding home from work on the highway doing 65 MPH.
It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years in some ways with all the BS I’ve been trough. From the scumbags at BBC trying to blame me for their crappy manufacturing, tube prep and welding to finally being exonerated and proving it was 100% their fault and having the NHTSA step in and forcing BBC to recall 1152 bikes for faulty manufacturing, tube prep and welding! Then having BBC request to go into out of court negotiations and my eventually receiving a nice $$$,$$$.$$ settlement.
Now that I have my new bike built by someone that actually knows what they’re doing and I’m back up on two again things are finally getting back to normal for me. Heading out tomorrow morning for a three day Labor Day weekend ride with some friends of mine all through the northern California foothills and Sierra mountains up to Lake Tahoe and back!!!
To all of you who supported me through all of this my deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to you and a special thanks to MechWerks for all your posts on my behalf and showing all the naysayers what proper tube prep and welds look like and how they are done correctly.

Peace to you all and keep the shiny side up,
Larry

Larry, congrats to you for sticking out and spreading the word about these scumbags!
I'm happy to see the bike is going and you won't have to put up with these fuggers anymore!
