Hey Hotch,

Nice work buddy! I was going to enter my DA in that show but I was in Europe on business at the time so didn't get to enter it. By the way I have met the guy who's bike beat you. He had his kit built for him by Blackhawk Customs in Sunnyvale.
Man you got your kit quickly, when I ordered my DA it took 13 weeks to show up and then it was still not complete and had to wait another 8 weeks to get the rear wheel! Sounds like your build when a LOT better than mine did. By the way, on the DA's, the PM driveside break is standard and the axle spacers come pre cut from BBC to fit. The only two final drive options available when I ordered were standard belt and standard chain. The sproter chain drive was not available back then.
Anyway, nice looking bike bro and as soon as I get my DA back together I'll be in touch for a ride! Later dude.

Here's a list of the problems I've had.

1. Frame to swingarm fitment. No good. Had to grind on the frame and add a roller guide to keep the drive belt from rubbin' the swingarm. BBC should have paid a little closer attention to the issues that frame/swingarm combo has.

2. Turn signal cancel module fried. BBC replaced it no questions asked.

3. Stator wiring failed (factory defect) at the plug. Spyke replaced it no questions asked.

4. B-17 inverted forks seal leak (both legs). American suspension replaced seals no charge.

5. Belt drive cluch basket wobble. BDL replaced basket and damaged clutch plates no charge.

I've had a fair number of problems with bad parts, but all the vendors stood behind their products and repaired or replaced the defective items. Good thing I don't mind wrenchin though.

NICE!

Front fender cracking right behind the mounting point. I'll never match the paint after fixing this! Well, I'm gonna have to tear down the bike to ship off the frame for the recall work sooner or later anyway. Just another reason to think about doing another paint job.

There's a guarantee on that sheet metal, isn't there?

LOL!
Yeah, I can pay to ship it to 'em so they can weld it and then send it back to me for paint repair (or send me a new raw fender if they feel it's beyond repair). All the value is in the f@#king paint, but that's on me.
