So got all the parts together. One last ride before the bike (BBC1) gets on the bench.

Will take some time because free time is limited, but let's start this now... still have BBC2 to run around while BBC1 is on the bench.

Finally found some time to move on in this. Luckily I kept the part I chopped from the rear fender years ago. So in order to get the "new" fender in the right position, I removed the mounted fender from the bike, welded the chopped part to the fender again and now chopping it from the other end, to get the right length and position on the bike.
Why doing it this way? In order to still use the current mounting points, I had to do it this way, because the fender has a slightly different radius than the wheel.
...or to say it in other words, just copying the stuff I did on my other BBC Screamin Demon
Next will be the seat pan for the new seat.
...then:
- Fender to the painter
- Seat pan to the saddler
While these parts are out, I'll do new oils, rear tire and some other small stuff and change the headlight.
Will post some pics next time. Forgot my phone...
There's no need to hurry, but it's always the same thing with expectations - it always takes 3 times more than planned. But that's part of the game I guess

Hey Spade115 - thanks man!
So finally found some time to move on with the "project".
New oil, new rear tire and also did some other small stuff. Changed the headlight. I loved the look of the "original BBC headlight", but the mount of the headlight glass got loose all the time, so I switched to a classic one like I have on my BBC2.
And also finished the welding and chopping on the rear fender. Is already with the painter and hopefully ready in the next few days.
Also worked and finally finished the seatpan, was quite some work to do, but finally looks like what I wanted to have. Looking pretty cool
Unfortunately the saddler is not here in the next few days... but yes, there's no hurry. Main thing is that everything looks like it should in the end.
Keep you posted. Hope I'll be able to put everything togehter in next few weeks.

Yes, looks good in the end and even more important it fits perfectly to the shape of the bike - but took a lot of time, was a lot of work, but finally... yes.
I did a "lot" of stuff in the past years, some work and parts I did resp. replaced multipe times. Not just because the work wasn't done right the first time, but also I wanted a different style or different parts, looks etc. Partly yes sure, I always had something in my mind or saw something somewhere etc.
But with my two choppers, I started to had the "vision" to do them one more time, properly, all of it, and then finally leave them as they are. This is also why I take the time necessary to really do the best I can, so I can say to myself in the end, that was it. No let's leave them as they are.
For my BBC2 I finally finished the work last summer. This year I want to do the same with BBC1. Hopefully I will get there soon...
The seatpan I painted myself and is going to the saddler next Monday. Hopefully I will get back the new seat soon.
The fender is finished... fresh paint looks so sweet!

Thanks Poop - as I said, trying to get the best out of it I can do.
It's an easy thing if you have all the money, but that's not my case. So it just takes time...
And seems like it takes another extra time. Went to the saddler on Monday this week, he was closed for 2-3 weeks and now has a lot of work to do, so most probably this will take 1-2 weeks until the seat is done.
But the rest of the work on the bike is done. It's ready to ride, and runs. Everything is working and it's looking good. Can't wait to have the seat on it and see the final look.
Will post some pics of the finished bike - hopefully very soon...

Times runs, it's unbelivable... anyway, got the seat back from the saddler. On the pic you can see the new finished seat for my BBC1 on the left and the seat I've done 1 year ago for my BBC2 on the right.
Glad I asked the saddler to do the 2nd one a little different, so the bikes don't look to similar. I think both look really cool, can't pick one as my favourite, as both do match the look of each chopper.
For my BBC1, more like a clean but raw looking bike, the seat on the left matches perfectly.
And for my BBC2, the more kind of shiny chopper, the seat on the right looks perfect on it.
Going to do the last few final touches to the bike this week, hopefully I can ride this thing again on next weekend. Been some time...

Was able to finish the bike as planned a few days ago, in the meantime more than a week ago. All went well, if we can forget about the issues I had with the side stand kill switch. Never had any issues with it, but all of a sudden the thing had some kind of loose contact or whatever. Well, took an additional extra effort to do handle that issue too, but all good now.
I was pretty busy riding both of my choppers, as we can enjoy a wonderful and warm fall here in the last few days and weeks. Hope the weather is going to stay this way for some time. Warm sunshine, not hot at all, perfect riding conditions.
So I didn't find the time to make some photos, but had to do it yesterday.
I think both bikes look badass and for the first time since I own the two I really can say, without any compromise or anything like "should be done some day" or something, just, yes, they are finally perfect the way they are - for me.
Almost unbeliavable to say after all these years working on the two bikes, but I really think I'm gonna leave them the way they are now.
All I'll do from now on is maintenance, new tires etc. and replace only broken parts. ...and of course ride them, as long as my back allows
But the next bike is already on the bench again. My 2015 Dyna with a broken alternator... just ordered the parts. Never a dull moment
