jetting for spike air cleaner and big radius pipes

posting some info which might help others going through this trial and error.....

2008 sled chopper, s&s 100, super e carb, big radius pipes no baffles.
with the stock teardrop filter and big radius pipes setup I was running 31/74 jets stock air bleed. with these jets she ran a little fat but felt good. I replaced the teardrop for a forward facing spike. I ran into the familiar coughing during the transition from intermediate jet to main jet that I read so much about. I tried every jet combo from 295-33 & 72-82. certain combos ran better but none got rid of the coughing. I came across a post recommending a larger air bleed.
I swapped the stock 40 for a 56 and sure enough problem fixed. no more coughing during transition.
final setup for pipes no baffles and spike filter is 32/76 & 56 air bleed.
