Seat for CC member Ron H.'s custom....helluva seat pan to cover....but she's done....

For CC MEMBER Ron H.'s bike. I wish I had pics of this seat pan.....it had QUITE a radical (almost inverted) backside which made foaming and covering this seat very difficult. However, I am pleased with final product. Lacing took me forever, I had to punch a BUNCH of holes to tightly fit the leather to the seat contour.

Ron shot off a bunch of .44 MAGNUM rounds ar the range and sent the casings to me to build the rivets....they turned out dang cool. He has a few other "bullets" on his bike so the seat should fit right in....

Crazy....

Thanks Razorback......I did more lacing on this seat than planned. It was the only way I could create a cover that fit properly. For some reason, this pan with foam was a difficult one to fit. Quite a bit of EXTRA work paid off as she fits nice and snug!

Thanks again.

Dude, you know what, like everything else in my life, I don't know the LINGO, I just like "doing things". So there are a lot of terms in leatherwork that I don't know, YET I make my living in leatherwork fulltime. Funny really, I could probably make a bunch more money if I just knew some more terminology.

To answer, I have no idea what to call it, but mexican weave or spanish weave sounds familiar.....

Glad you like it.

Madmastiff: I will send you a PM right now concerning pricing of a similar seat....the mods don't like it when we show pricing if we're not a sponsor (though I used to sponsor this site, I just can't swing the bill right now. Will become a sponsor soon though...I hope!)

Spade: Glad you like the seat. Yeah, I try me best to put out a premier product even though I don't know what to call what I'm doing sometimes . Terms aren't really important as long as my customers are satisfied with their order.

Ryan,

Hey it is Ron the guy you made the seat for. The seat came out great. It is slightly darker than I wanted but the craftmenship is second to none. Is there any way that I can lighten it up a bit?

Thanks

Hey Ron,

Welcome to ClubChopper. That's weird about the stain, because its the SAME stain used on that Monkey seat you saw on my site. REally isn't much you can do to "lighten" it up. Some time will do the trick, I'm sure.

Glad you like the seat though...wish the color was more to your liking.

Hey, be sure to "introduce" yourself to ClubChopper, being that this was your first post.

The guys here will be very happy you joined. Just a short intro will do. Just let us know where your from and what you ride......

Later.
