What fork tubes length should I choose?

Hello all!
At first, sorry for my language - I'm writing from St.Petersburg, Russia

I'm planning to build sportster evo powered chopper, and need some advice.
If final fork length(from upper triple tree to axle) will be around 34.25-34.4 inches , what oversized tubes shall I order?
24,5" tubes are described at various sites as stock, but is it overall lenght of assembled fork, or just tubes as-is?

Best regards, FEV

24.5 for stock tube length sounds right and that is just the tube itself, not the overall assembled fork with lower leg. Someone should be able to answer what the stock overall length should be, the subtract the difference from your final required measurement of 34.4 inches. I think you may be need to be somewhere around 4 to 6 inches over on the tubes you need.
Remember to take into consideration Rake and Trail calculations. What is the neck rake of the chopper? Are you using triple trees with a built in rake?

That's sound good, tubes are available from 2" over to 10" over - so, I can find necessary.

Stock length is around 30" for sporty, as far as I remember.
Rake is 34 degrees + 1,5 in triple trees, so false trail is 5.3" and 4.4" true trail (see attachment).
