Paul JR is today's best builder

I really think he's the best builder in today's industry. In a dying industry, JR has kept the cycling industry alive to the mainstream. A majority of bike builders today are old school and I respect the old school guys giving us the influence to create something of our own but your time is up. There are many efficient ways to build bikes even if it means outsourcing.

This is 2011 and soon 2012 and technology has grown at a rapid rate. New equipment allows us to spend less time fabricating and more time designing.

If I was bending pipes myself, that would be a waste of time. My time is much more valuable that I can buy a frame or a motor, not because I can't do it, but why should I.

JR is very creative and I consider him one of the best modern era bike builders in the industry.

I may not always agree or like his designs but some of them are just flat out amazing.

Paul JR. is that you?

wasnt that Black Widow bike built many years ago? how many times have it been on the road? prob not much....

JR, is a bike artist .. thats it... he dont build bikes for the everyday street...

also , all this bull shit about Outsourcing is good .. thats fine... whatever... we cant build it all ... but your loosing the POINT of "Hand Making" parts... theres a sense of PRIDE when you hand make a part.. you feel more connected to the bike and will love it even more, knowing you did what you could with your bare hands..

now outsourcing for productions bikes are different... but JR's not making Productions bikes, he's making one off clown piece of shit bikes...

wait.... your prob Mikey or Vinni ? isnt there a dildo company looking for you guys to make them a theme bike?

I gotta agree, not sure if this post is to be legit or not, BUT.

Jr. is a "designer" he dosnt build the bike. (thats what his teams for)

Technically he isnt a Bike Builder he just signs checks and has his name on shit.

Good logic about building pipes and outsourcing.
As far as Jr's status there is a problem with the logic.
When I built my bike I could not buy a tank - pipes - fenders
or anything from Jr. cause he is not a source - he is not a builder.
His rep is so poor for actual bikes that function - no one would
ever think of him as a source for a bike. The clients he has built bikes
for - for the most part - have never even sat on a bike before.
