Parts Distributors-swaps-NY to St louis area?

A bunch of my catalogues seem to all originate in the St Louis area. Where would it be worth going to exactly in St louis area to pick up the larger bike parts needed for a bobber build (frame, drive train, metal, etc), maybe even some used parts, any big swap meets between NY & MS (times)? I picture these big warehouses with decent showrooms in St Louis area. I wanna touch & feel before I buy the big ticket items, rather than mail order, and I have no problem making a vaca out of it (from Toronto area). Maybe the ground floor beginnings for a shop. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. :

I dropped in at fog hollow last may. I was kinda disappointed. Not much on display other than a bunch of crap. By crap... I mean the kind of stuff you see at all the swap meets that never sells. THey did have an attractive looking chick working on a bike though.

Anybody recommend any other stores similar to JP cycles n the midwest or east coast between buffalo and Miami? Maybe several custom parts stores with lots of displays, in one city? Looking for gages, fwd controls, chrome fuel filters, chrome 40 micron oil filters, etc
