It's been said before, but chop whatever you have. Or keep it stock. Ride as much or as little as you want and however you want. Whether it's about what books you read or food you like or bikes, it's all about grabbing all the freedom you can in this life.
Agreed! Im doing just that... I just think it would have been easier for me personaly to start out with something without all that technology. Working with the efi sporty has certainly been a learning experience. With the amount of money that I have put into this, I know I could have bought a bike built by any number of great Indy builders w/ a lot more substance and style. Someday...I'll venture into doing my own build.

I bought my sporty to do the work myself, yeah I could of bought alot of bikes, shit I could of been the owner of a 07 brand new, I went out and bought a 86 sporty 1100 because I knew what I was looking for. I didnt say im going to buy a bike and I can only afford a sporty, You have to think it through befor you make a commitment. You bought one with all the gadgets but now you wish you bought an old one. I bought and old one knowing what I was buying, I will also NOT hardtail it, thought about it but going with struts so I can go back with springs when my girl wants to ride. lol. Just think it through you can always change out your efi for a carb.

100% acurate! Made me stop and think about what I just wrote. There's always more than one way to view somthing. Thanks, Ralph!
