thanks from a new member

I have been riding a number of years (since 70's) but never owned a Chopper ( Harleys and Jap bikes) and I have been reading a few posts here trying to find out some information that might help me with a electrical problem I have with my 05 Precision Cycle Detroit Chopper Aggressor, 96 SS but been ( I am not handy with a wrench) reluctant to post anything here.

Glad to see your post

There's no need to be reluctant CW, if you need help, thats what alot of us are here for. Your not going to make friends with everyone, some guys just don't want to be. There's alot of guys here that won't give me the time of day, but I try to be respectful, I did say TRY! And Welcome to CC Dude!

Hey Cliffw, Ask anything you want here. The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask and then screwed something up because of it. (like none of us have ever done that before!)

Whiteliner, It is now 11:23 am as I type this.

I don't know why this post was put up. But, let me say this....I have not ran into anyone here who I don't like based on their posts. I jumped on another website and the host was a wise ass, I liked it and gave it right back. He seemed to take it for what it was and did not have a problem. However, another member was a complete ass. This has not happened here and I appreciate that. You guys are allright in my book.

Having said that, I know many of us are close enough that we can spar a bit in fun, but you must keep in mind that things are easily taken out of context when written, so be sure you have the relationship you think you do before making jabs at your buddies. Just common sense stuff that seems to elude us lately.

I hope you understand the concern here and do everything you can personally to make this place better every day. This is still the greatest group of chop enthusiasts in the world, but we are a huge bunch now, and we need to be mindful of the things that have made this place a success and have won each of us so many friendships over the last year or so....

Thanks for your attention to this, and take care.
From a new person on the board it was nice reading such wise words. Well said; it is easy to take things out of context and hurt or get hurt feelings. This groupp is great and all my questions have been answered politely/

Well im brand new here, are you the boss man ? if so and even if not thankyou thankyou for this place. I do belong to another internet auto site have done so for many years, even though ive been at wrenching for 30yrs theres still so much to learn, my master who taught me during my apprenticship in England told me several things that stuck, one was " if you EVER think you know it all your done" another was "DONT be afraid to hit it harder ! " with a hammer... i miss that grumpy ol fart.

I'm new here too and have posted a few questions already and while I'm sorry to read that there are some problems with a few members I can say that they are a small minority. Everybody that has replied to my questions has been very cool and very helpful. This is my first build and I looked around for a forum to that I could get real help from and this is definitly the only place I come to when I have a question aside from venders. This place rocks because the majority of the members are the kind of people that are willing to take a minute out of there busy day and offer a stranger some helpful advice. To me that is respect that deserves respect!

There are many good peeps on here. I am a woman in the mcy business that has been a biker my whole adult life. I live it everyday. Most people are very cool here and have no problem with the female thing. However, there is a member on here that I hope will read this respect section. I think everyone has a right to their opinion on here and it may differ from someone else's opinion- that is ok. It's even ok to question someone if you don't understand what they are saying.
