clutch cable adjustment location
Fellas, I'm trying to find a braided clutch cable that has the adjustment close to the transmission. I just picked up a Redneck Engineering chopper and someone replaced the clutch cable with a standard one. It is ran outside the downtube. The original cable was run through the downtube. I am looking for a cable that can be ran through the downtube like the original one. Its needs to be 72" long. Most cables have the adjustment portion in the middle, which puts it at the downtube. I need that adjustment to be closer to the transmission so that it is assessable. I'm searching but keep coming up with clutch cables with the adjustment in the middle. Do yal know of any supplier that makes a clutch cable with the adjustment towards to transmission?

For reference, here's the RE chopper I just picked up.
Extreme Omaha
See how the cable is run through the downtube. It currently has a different cable that is outside the downtube.

Simple and clean, I love it..
Brother, if it were my bike I'd run a hydraulic clutch. I think they clean up the bars better and much easier to run the line. Have you called Scooters performance and talked to John?

For the time being, I put a custom made Barrnett Cables clutch cable on it. The adjuster is closer to the trans now, which allows me to run it through the downtube. Only downside now is that is will leak fluid out of the adjuster due to how close it is to the trans, and it's lower (runs along the frame rail then up to the downtube).

I can have a Barnett cable made for you with the adjuster where ever you want. I built several of those Rednecks with the hollow downtube and thats what I did on them.

good to know pushrod; if this one fails or I end up wanting to change something up, I'll hit you up for a custom cable
