Ultima 140
Is anyone here running a 140? Or heard anything good or bad about them. They sure look like a good deal.

Oh my!! That engine is a beast. I would think that it might be a little taller so make sure it will fit in your frame.
We installed a 113" Ultima in my buddies bike 10 years ago. I think it was built by Southern Motorcycle Works. That engine sounded like a funny car with those short LAF pipes. Way more HP torque then my 100" S&S..

The Power is there!!!!!!! It has more vibration than the other El Bruto's...As does the S&S 145...It's Taller than the rest so frame fitment could be an issue...In My opinion...there's no need for it.

I was watching a guy do a stage 1v on the new Milwaukie 8.. Everything about it was better than stock. What I really liked about it is the base of the cylinders they have plenty of meat.. Nice gasket size. so I would imagine longevity is going to be great.. I think it ends up being 130 or so. I think that's the weak spot on the ultima 140s.. If they had more room for a better seal at the base I would go for it.. But dang my 113 runs so strong I think your right no need for it..

I have 2 ultima bikes, both bobbers and ~500 lb weight each. One is with 120cc , another with 127.
The similar carb, jetting and exhaust, but
I have said this before, 127 feels punchier, more robust. Both are pretty smooth.
Also, I have a heavier bike with s&s 113 circa ~2000 , I believe one of those odd 11:1 compression ratio competition packages, so anyways, it also feels more robust than ultima 120, but not127
I think I have overeaten fat tires and big engines ... I,m not even tempted to consider 140 or more for a potential project.
Plus I got distracted by learning some gunsmithing. That,s some fun too.

STEINBVG, are those 2 Ultima engines any taller than the S&S?

I don,t remember dimensions, it Ultima site has the drawing and dimensions of their engines. 120, 124 and 127 share the same dimensions.
But 113 $&$ is sitting in my lower than stock Walz Hardcore frame.
120 ultima sat well in a stock rigid kraftec frame and now in the stock FLH kraftec frame and I,m pretty sure 127 would fit too.

The 140 is 0.5” taller , but it seems it might fit( see how much room is there)however, the rear of the engine, exhaust will definitely not fit with the existing seat post. I would need to be modified. The front exhaust area also might be a bit tight.
Also if you need to take off the rocker boxes it might be a drama.
But again, this is a stock frame...

the 140 CI is 165/170 which seems like overkill for street use.
I want to eventually upgrade to a 127 El Bruto (140/140) for my fxr.
