2004 Bourget Retro
Hello,
Of coarse new to the forum and totally new to bike like this. I bought in an auction a 2004 Bourget Retro Chopper. It is missing the engine but the covers and etc. are all with it. Only the engine is missing. I has a 6 speed transmission new in the box. From information I can find it had a S&S 117 originally. But that is all I know. I found a new 117 S&S on craigslist locally but the seller told me it wouldn't fit the bike I have. He said his was not for a Harley type mount. So I am seeking someone who can point me in the right direction to get a bolt in engine. I am not a motor cycle person I build custom cars and restore muscle cars as a hobby with 40 years experience. So this is new ground for me. Any help would be appreciated.
God Bless

That's probably an Evo engine application based on the motor mounts. If it came with an S&S 117 then any S&S 117 should fit as long as it's an Evo motor (non rubber mount) or what S&S calls their "v" series. Twin Cam won't fit. If you cant' find a 117" a 111" would probably fit fine.

Thanks everyone. I am sure I will have a lot of questions as I go. I am awaiting the build sheet for more information. Will post pictures and information as things go forward. Looking forward to seeing this thing up and going again. I live 50 miles from Sturgis so thought I might go look at vendors for an engine or information as to where to get a good used one.
Thanks
