BBC Odometer Cycling

Got a random issue with my gauge/odometer. When I turn the key on it keeps cycling through the startup. Basically when I turn on the key the odometer lights up with "bbc". Then the letters ODO appear and it scrolls the miles. Then it lists the MPH which is obviously 0. Then the gauge flashes quickly and it starts all over. Even when the bike is running and I'm riding it continues to cycle.

The problem is random. Nothing obvious as of now. Only new thing that happened tonight was it was cycling and suddenly it stopped. I turned the key off and back on and the cycling started again.

I took a video and posted it. Link to the vid is below. Any thoughts on the cause would be greatly appreciated.

Was out riding tonight and it occurred to me that right before the gauge restarted it would display a dimmed "0" for the MPH. It would then recycle starting with a "bbc" but it was brighter. I recalled that every time I've had the problem it was at night.

Pulled out my phone and put the flashlight on it. The cycling stopped. Shortly after I turned the light off the cycling would start again. I can reproduce the issue every single time.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement or can anyone suggest a replacement? I'm guessing something Dakota Digital would be my first choice.

Hope it helps someone.

Eisej, did you try calling the new Big Bear Chopper in San Bernardino Ca?

I know a guy who left BBC before all the shit hit the fan. He's been running his own shop since 2006.
See the link below and ask to speak to Clint at Hwy 66 Choppers. Some of the guys that worked at BBC are still in the game and either work at another shop or started their own. Hwy 66 is the only one left that I know of.

I doubt Kevin at BBC will help you but its worth a shot.
There ain't nothing like a friend, that can tell you your just pissin in the wind.
