Wiring Harness Cut In Half Can I ?

Got a bike that the wiring harness was cut in half by the previous owner and need to keep all the blinkers etc on this bike. I have put together the solid single wires but a little worried about the other wires. You see as an example I have three Yellow wires with brown spots on them on one side of the harness and three on the other side of the harness exact same colors and spots.

Can I just wire these together and call it a day?

I would wire them together one at a time and use my ohms meter to see which one it is at the final destination, starting from the beginning and label it..
