Where have all the old basket cases gone to?

Hiya to everyone, itīs been a while since I last checked in asking about Ultima 140 engines for my project.

Now Iīve found out that itīs very hard to find a basket case bike for my project. Iīve checked the internet marketplaces but theyīre either suspiciously cheap for the condition or theyīre too pricey and restored for me to start bobbing them. I know theyīre gold especially if theyīre rigid but still, I need to give this a shot.

This is why I am hunting for 1940s to 1957 hardtailed barn find, basket case or salvage bike. I have thought my project through and I canīt see how El Bruto 140 would pass our emissions tests with newer standards enforced on bikes after 1958.

With bikes manufactured before 1958 I would have totally free hands to express myself as in terms of power, noise and safety subjects.

So yeah, does anyone have a clue where I could find clear titled, export- friendly scrap bike from USA or Canada? Thanks for ones who helped a Finnish lad to start getting something in his carage

I did some internet exploration and I found out this site called gogocycles that has its own basket case section for Harleys. Is it legit site or has anyone ever bought something through that site? I also found oodle and many very hazy ads. I checked oodles reputation and user feedback and it seems to be one hell of a jungle for buyers. Too bad we donīt have old Harleys here in Finland that arenīt restored...

I wouldn't mind trying that El bruto 140...the 127 makes you feel like your balls are swollen its self...

this probably isn't the site you need to be on,
it caters mainly for modern fat tyre bikes and a place of worship for jessy jane.
youd be better off going to ''The Jockey Journal'' It caters for real Harley chops, restos and customs rather than the billit bling cookie Cutters that are here....

Thanks for you honest reply. I logged into JJ forum and hope to get my answers there. Anyways, Iīll be back when I get the correct Ultima setup to my carage.
