The bike started it's life as a 2000 duece, motor is stock from what I was told. I bought it on a eye appeal instead of really looking at it now I'm having to see all the issues I'll post some pics of the bike then tomorrow I'll post some of what I need to know to help fix it since it's a custom I'm not sure on the parts he has on them I'm getting no spark to the plugs turns over fine gonna check the coil in morning not sure the year of the coil or how they have the ignition system setup cause they dummied it can anyone tell me what they did to dummy it is it points now the motor again is a 2000 twin cam

Hard to tell from the picture but it looks like it has a Vulcanworks Twin Cam conversion kit on it...

A quick test for the ignition system would be to check for your 12v to the coil, and then just scratch the coil ground terminals to ground ...the plugs should spark..if not, then bad coil......if it sparks like that then just open your points, and jump a screwdriver across them to close them and , the plugs should spark..every time you do that...this does the same thing as scratching the coil to ground...this tells if your wiring between the points and coil is ok..if no spark by doing that.., then check and make sure your points are grounding..and nothing loose there..
