I've been running a Scorpion 500cca.bought off ebay for $170..It's been real good ..if you buy a lithium make sure it's a smart lithium that can be charged by a regular battery charger..

Who makes the smart lithium?
Everyone I have looked into needs the special charger for it.
I take it the one you have (Scorpion) is a "smart" one ?

I've been using a Anti-gravity Lithium battery for a few years now. Has worked flawlessly
And it's the chargers that you have to make sure are compatible with lithium batteries, not the other way around.

The Scorpion has circuity in it it that allows you to charge with a conventional charger without possibility of over charging..
Speaking of Anti gravity batteries, I have one that is over 10 years old and still kicking..I just don't know if they are worth the price....What $300, plus it's nice if you are out on the road and
need to get it charged somewhere..Here is a description......you can find them cheaper on ebay..

have had one going on 3 years bought from advance auto. use a maintainer/float type charger with no issues. great strength and has held up real good.
