I've been riding and building bikes for about 50 years and personally I think the whole deal with 'biker' is something that comes from the media, the old mags and more recent television. I'm not to sure that I've ever met anybody who was a 'biker' without the media tag but I've met a lot of great people who ride bikes of all types over the years. The only label I can think of is 'people'.

Been riding 47 years, and only one crash. Seven bikes in the stable right now. Need more. Am I biker? No. I'm a motorcyclist.
