It would be nice to re-do the whole motor's finish, but I don't think it's in the near future because of the cost involved. If I had my choice, I would strip it and polish the cases to match the tranny. The cylinder fins would look so much better diamond cut though.

You never know what's going to happen next. If I get a good bonus next year I might be able to do it.
If it's black wrinkle coat, you can soap it up and scrub it, then hit it with some semi-gloss or flat black BBQ paint on the painted areas to make it look like new powder coat...
