Yeah go ahead. Plenty of guys have done it including me. I used a 1/4" spacer on my front wheel with my denvers springer. No problems. Got it from this guy: Harley Pre-1999 Pulley Spacers*::*Pulley Spacers \ Adapters*::*Motorway Engineering Co.

It takes many nails to build a crib.....and only 1 screw to fill it!!!
