I haven't posted anything in a while, partially because until a few days ago it still wasn't looking like a bike, as it had no front end on it. Finally now it does:

I also wanted to keep some things under wraps, but then I thought the odds of someone else having the same ideas, or even the capability of executing them were pretty slim, given the source of the parts. The air cleaner is made from the rear piece of a Soviet 107mm Katyusha rocket, one of 12 fired at us in one day alone. The six venturies actually spiral inward, making it like a velocity stack, as well as letting air in through the filter, which had to be split and sectioned.

Then there's the fuel petcock. It's a fuel valve from the inside of a BRDM-2 Soviet armored recon vehicle in Afghanistan. It was so ugly I absolutely had to use it. I had no idea it would actually become a focal point of the bike, but it has.

It's a three position valve, rear is the left tank, middle is "off" and forward is the right tank, which is the reserve. It even has Cyrillic writing on the curved plate that says opened and closed.
