haha John, actually I was looking for the old thread we had a few years ago comparing the prices on items when they are sold as a "chopper" part.
For anyone interested in this style (Monza) flip top gas cap it was widely used for Mini's and adapted to Triumphs. They come from England (although they are now also manufactured in India and China)
They are plentiful on Ebay but not so much Ebay here in the USA. Ebay.uk is a great source for hot rod stuff! This is the SAME CAP sold as a "chopper part" for significantly more money.
Twisted Choppers sells for $200 and NYC Choppers sells this cap including a steel weld in bung but $270??? (they just raised their prices) I wouldn't mind giving my money to Twisted or NYC to help support a motorcycle business but when the price is that far off i just cant justify it.
I'm all for companies making a profit but insane greed will drive your customers to cut you out of the loop! Thanks john for squeezing it out of me! lol
