It's been a while since I updated this thread. Didn't work on the Redneck much this summer, I was busy riding and rebuilding my Yamaha, but I finally got back on it last night. A few things I did this summer that I never updated:

I rough cut the rear fender just for an idea of how I'm gonna mount it.

First I made a circle template and made progressively larger cuts to get in the ballpark.

Now I lay it on the swingarm with a spacer to set the distance from the tire, and determine where I need to weld bungs or tabs to mount it. I will probably end up cutting the rear into a reverse half-moon shape, but I haven't decided yet.

I had an issue with the neck being an odd size. I still haven't gotten to the bottom of this, but basically the stem was bottoming out before it was putting any preload on the bearings. I made a larger dust cap to take up the slack. This one is aluminum, but I may make the finished product out of harder stainless so there is no issue with galling between the spacer and the top tree...
